ABARES releases year ahead and five year forecasts for Australia’s major export commodities with the key commodity sessions debating sector trends at Outlook each year. Forecasts are available in the March edition of the quarterly Australian Commodities publication.

Grants to realise big ideas from young rural innovators
ABARES coordinates the annual Science and Innovation Awards for Young People in Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry. The Awards provide a number of grants for projects that will contribute to the ongoing success and sustainability of Australia’s agriculture, fisheries or forestry industries, including food and sustainable natural resource management.
Applications are now closed for the 2012 Science and innovation Awards for Young People in Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry grants. Judging is underway and applicants will be notified of the outcome as soon as possible. For enquiries contact Science Awards or 02 6272 2260.
