2013 Regional Outlook conferences

ABARES is pleased to announce the dates and locations for its 2013 Regional Outlook conferences.

Held across Australia, the seven Regional Outlook conferences bring ABARES commodity forecasts and analysis to regional Australia.

ABARES works in partnership with regional, state and national private and public partners for each Regional Outlook conference. Each conference program focuses on industries and issues relevant to the region and promotes economic viability, community vitality and environmental sustainability.

At each one day conference, delegates can discuss the key issues affecting the outlook for Australia’s agricultural, fisheries, forestry and food industries, natural resources, climate and trade. Delegates can discuss industry trends, access forecasts and other information, make new contacts, develop new ideas and examine current thinking while gaining an understanding of global issues that may affect their region. Speakers and delegates are drawn from across the community, including producers, bankers, consultants, rural counsellors, local business owners, state and local government staff, students and others with a regional outlook and focus.
