Guide to the Report
Structure
The Australian Government Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (the department) Annual Report is structured around its eight Output groups. The report provides an overview of the organisational structure, method of operation, key achievements and corporate directions; highlights the department’s progress against the performance indicators listed in the 2003-04 Portfolio Budget Statements (PBS); and details the department’s performance relating to its Output objectives, management and accountability requirements.
The appendices provide information relating to:

• freedom of information
• ecologically sustainable development and environmental performance
• the Natural Resource Management (Financial Assistance) Act 1992
