2.1 Outcomes and performance information
Government outcomes are the intended results, impacts or consequences of actions by the Government on the Australian community. Agencies deliver programs which are the Government actions taken to deliver the stated outcomes. Agencies are required to identify the programs which contribute to Government outcomes over the Budget and forward years.
Each outcome is described below together with its related programs, specifying the performance indicators and targets used to assess and monitor the performance of WEA in achieving government outcomes.
Outcome 1: A bulk wheat export market with multiple exporters providing more choice for growers, through administration of the Wheat Export Accreditation Scheme.
Outcome 1 Strategy
To achieve WEA’s outcome, WEA is committed to administering the Scheme efficiently, effectively and objectively. WEA is active in reviewing and refining the Scheme, making timely decisions, reporting, conducting regular industry consultations and monitoring accredited exporters.

Program 1.1: Wheat Exports Australia
Program objective
The purpose of the Scheme is to establish a system of accreditation for bulk wheat exporters in order to attest that an exporter is a fit and proper company to export bulk wheat from Australia.
This program has a collective focus operating through a service mechanism. The program undertakes advising/informing activities through direct service delivery.
Program Expenses

Program 1.1 Deliverables
- Promote the development of a bulk wheat export marketing industry that is efficient, competitive and responsive to the needs of wheat growers.
- Provide a regulatory framework for exporters participating in the bulk wheat export trade.

WEA's performance is measured through the successful completion of key deliverables and services.
