The Corporate Finance Division (CFD) provides leadership, vital support and advisory services in financial management for DAFF. It contributes to the department’s planned outcome by providing high-quality, timely and cost-effective services and technical advice to the divisions, their staff and stakeholders:
- Policy advice and financial management
- Internal and external budgeting
- Financial reporting
- Tax management and insurance
- Strategic planning and financial training
- Business improvement strategies
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Help desks and information lines.
These services are integrated and aligned with client needs and better work practices, and underpin the Division's overall operational efficiency and effectiveness, including
- driving the department’s financial framework towards better practice
- providing expert advice to senior staff, the Minister and his officers
- supporting the Secretary and the Executive in managing change
- building and improving organisational systems and policies
- administration of planning and reporting activities.
