The Corporate Services Division is responsible for the delivery of efficient and effective corporate services through a mix of internal and external service provider arrangements to DAFF including:

  • People and information management
  • Administrative and office systems
  • Information technology
  • Management of outsourced services contracts
  • Human resource and physical planning, reporting and evaluation, and
  • The collection and distribution of industry levies through the Levies Revenue Service

Information Services

The Information Services area is responsible for the following services:

  • ICT Strategic Direction - Corporate ICT strategic and technology planning
  • Corporate IT Contract Management - delivery of outsourced infrastructure and software support services
  • Corporate Systems – delivery and management of corporate business systems
  • Information Management – providing information / record practices and services
  • Internet - providing on-line services via Internet, Intranet and portal technology
  • ICT Security - application and system security advice, assessments and monitoring services
  • Telecommunications – delivery of voice and telephone services

Governance, Levies and Services

The Governance, Levies and Services Branch is responsible for the following services:

  • Levy financial management including collection and payments
  • Compliance with levy legislation
  • Levy Information and policy advice
  • Copy centre – provides copying, printing and publishing services
  • Contracts/Tenders Management Services – manages internal/external contracts and tender processes
  • Despatch – mail services
  • Job match Office Support Agency
  • Property – building maintenance and relocation issues
  • Outsourced management of legal, travel (domestic and overseas) and fleet services and property contracts
  • Central oversight and management of compensation claims relating to the 2008 outbreak of equine influenza and DAFF's discretionary compensation schemes
  • Support and coordinate the departments grants and project management practices
  • Coordinating and providing advice on governance matters including privacy, delegations, Ombudsman investigations, Freedom of Information (FOI) and Chief Executive Instructions.
