Applications for the 2009 ABARE Graduate Program are now closed
The Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics (ABARE) is Australia’s largest applied economic research agency.
Our aim is to provide high quality economic policy analysis and forecasts that enhance the competitiveness of Australia’s agricultural and resource industries and the quality of the Australian environment.
We are looking for highly motivated graduates to join our multidisciplinary team of talented and innovative economists, mathematicians, statistics, and modellers who are the leading edge of both domestic and international economic research.
We offer you the opportunity to carry out applied research and/or commodity analysis on a diverse range of issues relating to agriculture, minerals, energy, forestry, fisheries, trade, and environment. Working in a ‘real’ job from day one, we encourage career advancement and provide formal training programs to supplement on the job training.
A degree, at honours level in economics or a related discipline, or a double degree with strong economic content is essential.
