Incoming Government Brief 2010

The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry has published the Incoming Government Brief (IGB) that it provided to the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, Senator the Hon. Joe Ludwig.

The department has received two separate Freedom of Information (FOI) requests for the IGB.

In order to ensure the most efficient use of departmental resources, the department has decided to publish the IGB.

Some of the content in the IGB has been redacted in line with the permitted exemptions under relevant sections of the Freedom of Information Act 1982. The relevant sections have been referenced in the document.

The IGB was prepared at the time of the 2010 federal election and as such, information it contains is largely historical rather than current. Views, opinions and advice provided may have changed since this time.
