ShowSkills - a AAA Farmbis Australia Initiative
In recognition that agricultural shows are a focal point for community life in regional Australia, in May 2001 the Australian Government committed over $1.8m to fund training to improve the business management skills of regional and country show committee members.

The training involved attendance at two workshops of two days each. The first workshop covered the Business Management Cycle, Attracting and Keeping People and Understanding Finances. The second workshop covered Using Information, Building Relationships, Reducing Risk and a Plan for the Future.

The final ShowSkills workshop was held in December 2003. All show societies that had expressed an interest in the program were provided an opportunity to participate in the workshops. In total, 114 workshops were held nationally, providing business management training to 1125 show committee members, representing 356 agricultural show societies.
