Codex Stakeholder Needs Analysis of the Processed Food Industry 2003
Through the National Food Industry Strategy (NFIS), the Commonwealth Government and industry recognise the importance of the increasing impact of globalisation on the processed food industry. The food industry is presented with both opportunities and challenges in seeking to be a significant player in the global food system. The Strategy recognises that international food standards increasingly play a key role in determining trade opportunities for Australian food businesses.
To address this issue, DAFF commissioned Buchan Consulting to undertake a stakeholder needs analysis for the processed food industry, and develop options for a communications strategy designed to increase the involvement of the industry in Codex processes.
