Central North - North West (including Moree West)
Exceptional Circumstances will cease on 30 September in the Central North – North West (including Moree West) area, except for producers and small business owners in the Central North – North West Coonamble Revision, and in the Central North-North West Northern New England Revision.
The Central North – North West Northern New England Revised area covers part of Division B and part of Division D of the Northern New England Rural Lands Protection Board (RLPB) District. (Note: RLPB boundaries were redefined by NSW in 2002 and this area is equivalent to the old Divisions D and I of the Northern New England RLPB District).
The Central North – North West Coonamble Revision includes Division C of the Coonamble Rural Lands Protection Board.
All producers in the declared area are eligible to apply for income support payments and interest rate subsidies.
Agriculture-dependent small business operators who derive 70 per cent of their turnover from agriculture in any EC declared area are also eligible to apply for income support payments and interest rate subsidies.
Note: If your small business: is located in a town that is substantially reliant on farm incomes and has a population of 10,000 or less; and is in an EC area (including prima facie and interim assistance areas); and can demonstrate a significant downturn in income due to the drought, you may be eligible for assistance.
Producers and small business operators should not self-assess their eligibility for income support but should call the Drought Assistance Hotline on 13 23 16.

Area Description
The Central North - North West (including Moree West) EC declared area covers the Rural Lands Protection Boards of Moree, Northern Slopes Division A, B, C and D, Tamworth, Armidale Division A, Coonabarabran Divisions B, C and part of Division A, Hunter divisions A, B, C, and D, Mudgee-Merriwa Divisions A, B, and D, Narrabri Divisions C and D and most of B, Northern New England Divisions D and I, and Coonamble Division C (defined as annexed area).
