Central North-East including Annex
All producers in the Central North-East Including Annex exceptional circumstances (EC) declared area are eligible to apply for income support payments and interest rate subsides*.
Agriculture-dependent small business operators who derive 70 per cent of their turnover from agriculture in any EC declared area are also eligible to apply for income support payments and interest rate subsides.
Note: If your small business: is located in a town that is substantially reliant on farm incomes and has a population of 10,000 or less; and is in an EC area (including prima facie areas); and can demonstrate a significant downturn in income due to the drought, you may be eligible for assistance.
Producers and small business operators should not self-assess their eligibility for income support but should call the Drought Assistance Hotline on 13 23 16.

Area Description
The Central North East EC declared area is defined as the land enclosed by:
The Eastern boundary being the Queensland and New South Wales borders south of the northern boundary of Bollards Lagoon pastoral lease to the River Murray.
The Southern boundary includes a line from where the River Murray crosses the Victorian border at Chowilla west to the northeast corner of the Hundred of Parcoola, the northern boundaries of the Hundreds of Parcoola, Pooginook, Markaranka, Stuart and Lindley then south to the Morgan to Burra road and west to the western boundary of the Hundred of Baldina.
The Western boundary includes the part of the Hundred of Baldina (north of the Morgan to Burra road) then north including the Hundreds of Mongolata, Tomkinson, Wonna, Parnaroo, Coglin, Cavenagh and Minburra then west including the Hundreds of Yalpara, Bendleby, Eurilpa, Uroonda and the part of the Hundred of Moockra within the Flinders Ranges Council, the Hundred of Palmer east of the north-south road through Stephenston to the District Council of Mt Remarkable boundary, north of the Quorn to Carrieton road east of the Hawker Quorn road then east of the north-south road through Simmonston and Partacoona in the Hundreds of Boolcunda and Kanyaka, the Hundred of Barndioota, then west to the eastern shore of Lake Torrens, including the pastoral leases of Wallaberdina and Lake Torrens, then north along the eastern shore of Lake Torrens to the western boundaries of the pastoral leases of Mulgaria, Witchelina, Callanna and Lake Letty.
The northern boundary includes those pastoral leases south of the Wild Dog Fence east of and including the pastoral lease of Lake Letty to and including the pastoral lease of Moolawatna then north on the eastern boundary of the pastoral leases of Woolatchi and Murnpeowie to the southern point of the northern section of the Strzelecki Regional Reserve then north on the eastern boundary of the Strzelecki Regional Reserve to and including the pastoral lease of Merty Merty then east on the northern boundaries of Merty Merty and Bollards Lagoon pastoral leases to the Queensland border.
The Annex is defined as the land enclosed by:
The northern area is bounded by the Strzelecki Regional Reserve, the Wild Dog Fence, the Lake Eyre National Park, the western boundary of the pastoral lease of Muloorina, the eastern boundaries of the pastoral leases of Woolatchi and Murnpeowie and the northern boundaries of the pastoral leases of Mulka and Lake Hope.
It includes the pastoral leases of Muloorina, Clayton, Saltaparuna Murnpeowie, Dulkaninna, Cooryanna, Part Peachawarrinna, Part Cannatakaninna, Etadunna, Kirrrakirrinna, Mulka and Lake Hope and the portion of the pastoral lease of Woolatchi above the Wild Dog Fence.
The southern area is bounded by Munyaroo Conservation Park, the northern boundary of the Eyre Peninsula Natural Resource Management Region, Lake Gairdner National Park, Lake Torrens National Park, the western boundaries of The Flinders Ranges Council and the District Council of Mount Remarkable, the part of the Hundred of Winninowie west of the District Council of Mount Remarkable, the shores of Spencer Gulf and the pastoral leases of Mount Ive, Unalla, Buckleboo, Mahanewho, Yalymboo, Oakden Hills, Pernatty, Bosworth, Andamooka and Part Mulgaria all of which are included in the area and the southern boundaries of the pastoral leases of Lake Torrens and Wallerberdina.
