- Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)
- Methyl Bromide and the Montreal Protocol
- Intergovernmental Forum on Chemical Safety
In recent years Australia has been involved in the negotiation of two multilateral conventions relating to hazardous chemicals, namely:
- Rotterdam Convention on the Prior Informed Consent Procedure for Certain Hazardous Chemicals and Pesticides in International Trade, and
- Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants
Both conventions aim to protect human health and the environment from certain toxic industrial chemicals and pesticides.
