Dairy
There are currently two dairy levies; the Dairy Produce (All Milk) Levy and the Dairy Adjustment Levy.
The Dairy All Milk Levy provides funding for marketing, research and development and animal health programs.
Levy collections from the Dairy Adjustment Levy are used to repay the Australian Government for assistance provided to the dairy industry upon deregulation of the market milk sector in 2000. The Dairy Adjustment Levy ceased on 22 February 2009. For further information see the Cessation Fact Sheet.
Information on the levy recipient body can be accessed via the Dairy Australia website. Please refer to the levy information sheets (below) for further details.
