2008 Dairy Quota Review

The Hon. Tony Burke MP, Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, has appointed an independent panel to conduct the 2008 Dairy Quota Review. The Panel will review the operation of Australia’s dairy export quotas to the United States and the European Union.
The review panel will be John McQueen, Chair, Dr Sandra Welsman and David Harris.
Minister Burke has requested that the Quota Review Panel examine and report on the appropriateness, effectiveness and efficiency of the current quota management arrangements and identify areas where improvements to the quota management arrangements could be made.
The Panel intends to consult widely in its deliberations. As part of this consultation process, all interested parties are invited to lodge submissions that address the terms of reference and follow the guidelines for submission.
