AOI Form

This form is used to display details about the physical Area of Interest, e.g. property or premises.  Note that many details are greyed out as these cannot be edited here as changes can only be made in the main land and customer database.

Diary Form

This form is used to record details of any information provided or contact made that initiates an Event.

The details include:

  • Correspondence or Messages coming from an internal contractor external source
  • Tasks required as a result of the correspondence or messages received which may be assigned to a selected person, role or authority for completion and the dates these tasks are scheduled, commenced and completed.  When completed, a task may have required the use of some or all of the other available record screens (eg. AOI, Visit, Observation, Samples etc)
  • Advice given to external clients e.g. a person associated with an AOI.

Visit Form

This form is used to record details of any visit made to the AOI. Examples of Visits include inspections, audits and property visits associated with regulatory and / or surveillance activities.

The Visit screen is not used for recording basic phone advice (the Diary screen should be used for this purpose) or for recording information associated with Traces (use the Trace screen instead).

A Visit may be scheduled, planned or ad hoc. The Diary screen should be updated before completing the Visit screen.

If a Visit has been previously scheduled, then a partially completed Diary record will have already been entered but will require updating. If a Visit has not been previously scheduled then the Diary screen should be completed before entering Visit details in the Visit screen.

Observation Form

This form is used to record details of any observations made at the AOI. There can be multiple observations added and these can then be navigated to using the video controls located in the green band above the observation details.

This is a screenshot of the Observation details which can be used to record details of the enterprise groups that may be affected in an incident. This image can be found in the induction booklet 'BioSIRT User Training Program'.

Note the footer drawer “Observations Details” on the bottom left hand side of this screen.  This drawer contains a footer (Groups) and sub-footer (Individuals).  This can be used to record details of the enterprise groups (the ‘productive things of interest’ that may be affected in an incident).

Survey Form

This form is used to record details of any questions asked at the AOI. There can be multiple surveys added, but these must be of the same type. These can then be navigated to using the video controls located in the green band above the observation details.

Sample Form

This form is used to record details of any samples taken and results on any analysis done on them.  There can be multiple samples recorded these can then be navigated to using the video controls located in the green band above the sample details.  Note the footer drawer “Sample Details” on the bottom left hand side of this screen.  This can be used to record the results on any analysis done on samples.

Diagnosis Form

This form is used to record details of any diagnostic findings.

Status Form

This form is used to record details of any Status applied to the AOI. A Status may be applied against an AOI as part of regulatory control, e.g. infected, suspect, provisionally clear, etc.  An AOI will pass through a series of Statuses depending on actions and outcomes until it achieves a Status of clear or free.

A Status may also be a standing in quality assurance grading, bestowing privileges to an AOI or stock or product it contains, eg MN1, accredited free, etc.

A Status may also indicate the functionality of an AOI item or equipment, eg good working order etc.

Instruments Form

This form is used to record details of any Instrument (legal document) served on a party (organisation or individual) to an AOI to achieve a regulatory goal.  The Instrument may restrict movements of animals, goods, products, within enterprises, regions. An Instrument could be a quarantine, a detention, an undertaking, a permit, there being numerous possibilities depending on the jurisdiction.

There can be multiple Instruments recorded - these can then be navigated through, using the video controls located in the green band above the instrument details.

Trace Form

This form is used to record details of a trace, the originating AOI and destination AOI. This is used for recording the movement details of diseased or contaminated things between AOIs.  Traces may be forward or backward.  A forward trace relates to movements from a specific AOI to others.  A backward trace relates to movements to the specific AOI from others. Tracing involves determining whether disease / contaminant carrying agents (animals, products, parties, plants, equipment etc) have moved onto or off an AOI in a timeframe that poses a risk.

The Trace screen will initially present as the Trace Details Form (Trace tab selected). In this state the screen is divided horizontally into 3 areas.  The upper section (labelled AOI-Information Source) contains AOI and Party details of the source of the tracing information.  The middle section contains the tracing information and the lower area (labelled AOI-Associated, Source / Destination of Trace Material) contains AOI / Party details of the AOI where the disease / contaminant came from (in a backward trace) or of the AOI where the disease / contaminant went to (in a forward trace).
