Introduction

Login

BioSIRT is a fully secured application that provides access only with security approval. Your Administrator will issue you with a Username and password which will give you access to relevant parts and functions of BioSIRT.  To login, enter the Username and password provided, check the box to indicate that you agree to the conditions of use and click on the Login button.  Do not share your password with anyone and ensure that you keep it safe.

Welcome

Each time you log in to BioSIRT you will be taken straight to the Welcome Screen. This screen gives a brief overview of BioSIRT, indicates which jurisdiction’s server the version of BioSIRT is being hosted on and provides contact details for the jurisdiction’s BioSIRT Administrator. No functions can be executed on the Welcome Screen.

At the top of the Welcome Screen are a series of tabs (AOI, Event, Trace, Map, Report, Welcome [current view] and Logout). Use these tabs to navigate to different BioSIRT functions. On the right hand side of the Welcome Screen is a drawer labelled HELP. There is a HELP drawer on each screen and the help text provided is customised for the screen you are viewing at the time.

Logout

To enhance the security of BioSIRT it is important that you log out when you will not be using the application. The Logout tab is located at the top right hand side of the screen (in any view). When you click on this tab you will be prompted to confirm that you want to log out of BioSIRT. Click on OK to confirm your log out. 

Note: If you have BioSIRT open but inactive, your login will automatically expire after 30 minutes.
