Standard Definitions and Rules for EBL
These Standard Definitions and Rules (SDRs) are designed to assist in the control of Enzootic Bovine Leucosis (EBL), in a nationally coordinated manner, and allows for the classification of cattle herds according to their EBL status.
Control and eradication programs provide dairy cattle producers with a mechanism to control EBL and eliminate it from a herd. They also provide dairy cattle breeders with a means of providing assurance of the EBL disease status to purchasers of their stock.
This edition of the SDRs for EBL was approved by the Animal Health Committee in April 2002.
