Australian Standards for the Export of Livestock v2.3
Important notice: As of 27 April 2011 the Australian Standards for the Export of Livestock (Version 2.3) will apply.
The Australian Standards for the Export of Livestock set the basic standards for the conduct of the livestock export trade, as required by the Australian, state and territory governments.
The standards were developed in response to Recommendation 1 of the Livestock Export Review (The Keniry Report). The Keniry report was released in 2003 following the Cormo Express incident.
From 27 April 2011 the Australian Standards for the Export of Livestock (version 2.3) will apply.
