Compliance and Investigations
Compliance and Investigations’ core function is to work with AQIS Program Managers, members of the public and other law enforcement agencies to carry out investigations where suspected breaches of our legislation appears to have occurred.
Compliance issues warnings to those individuals and entities that may inadvertently create risks situations as well as providing briefs of evidence to Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions to consider criminal prosecution where it appears a breaches of the legislation has occurred presenting increased risk to Australia. Information is also provided by Compliance to AQIS Program Managers to assist in addressing system changes to improve our risk management approach.
