Centenary of Quarantine Stamp

Centenary of Quarantine stampAustralia Post is marking the Centenary of Quarantine with the release of a stamp that highlights the ongoing importance of Australian quarantine. The Centenary of Quarantine stamp is for general distribution and 'every day use', and will spread the quarantine message widely in Australia and internationally.

The 50 cent stamp, designed by Australia Post, features the AQIS detector dog 'Boof' and his handler Sean Holman. Sean is holding a pineapple, which represents just one of the Australian primary industries that are vulnerable to the introduction of pests and diseases.
