Category 4: Quarantine time varies in Australia
Cats and dogs from the following countries can be imported to Australia, provided that they meet all of the AQIS import requirements.

The date that the blood is collected for the rabies blood test determines the length of time the cat or dog must spend in Australian quarantine. Please refer to step 5 of the information package.
Please read through the information package thoroughly before contacting the Live Animal Imports Program or the nearest AQIS office for any further questions you may have about the importation process.
Cats and dogs must spend the quarantine period in one of the three government animal quarantine stations located in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.
Information about the quarantine stations can be viewed at quarantine station accommodation.
No additional documentation, vaccinations or testing can be completed to reduce or avoid the quarantine period.
