Purpose

To notify all live animal exporters and AQIS officers of the AQIS Live Animal Export (LAE) Canberra office relocation to the London Circuit building on 6 and 13 August 2010.

Background

The AQIS LAE Canberra office will be relocating to 7 London Circuit Canberra City ACT 2601. The move will be completed in two stages. The office will shut on Friday 6 August at 12:00 noon, whereby all LAE staff will leave the building and move into the new accommodation on the following Monday 9 August.

The relocation will be completed on Friday 13 August and the office will again be shut at 12:00 noon and staff will return on Monday 16 August.

There will be no phone or facsimile services available for the program from 12:00 noon each Friday until the following Monday morning. Emails will be received, however will not be accessed until almost midday staff resume work on each Monday.

As the move will cause disruption and possible delays to processing NOI/CRMPs, all livestock exporters are requested to please ensure that NOI/CRMPS (particularly Indonesia) are submitted in a timely manner to reduce the chance of the approval being delayed. The contact details for Canberra LAE staff members will remain the same. The GPO postal address will also remain the same.
