New export fees and charges to apply fom 1 July 2009

Purpose

To notify all members of the grain export industry of the new fee structure to be implemented on 1 July 2009.

Issue

In line with the recommendations of the independent review of quarantine and biosecurity arrangements, the Beale Review, the 40% assistance applied to AQIS export certification functions will lapse on 30 June 2009. As a result, all export fees and charges must return to full cost recovery.

Charging guidelines

All charging guidelines are being updated to reflect the new fees and charges and will be available on the AQIS website prior to implementation on 1 July 2009.

Revised fee structure

The new fees and charges effective from 1 July 2009 are at Attachment 1 below.
