Giant African Snail Target Countries and Risk Vessels

AQIS targets imported containers from high-risk giant African snail (GAS) areas for inspection prior to release from the terminal. If your cargo is imported from one of the countries listed below, it is imperative that you check the GAS status of your cargo with the relevant stevedore before arranging collection of the cargo from the terminal. This requirement applies irrespective of the container status indicated in the Customs Integrated Cargo System (ICS) or on the contingency container lists published on the Customs or 1-STOP websites. If your cargo has arrived on a vessel that has taken on cargo from a GAS target country, it is strongly recommended that you check the GAS status with the relevant stevedore prior to arranging collection of the cargo.
