Co-Regulation Import Schemes: General Policies
The Import Clearance Program within the Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service (AQIS) has recently developed a set of General Policies for all AQIS Import Clearance Compliance Agreements.
The General Policies document details how AQIS will:
- Measure compliance with the requirements set out in the Schedule and Processes and Outcomes Document;
- Assist the Other Party, after the detection of a non-conformity, to address matters of quarantine concern, monitor performance, and to re-establish compliance; and
- Receive and process appeals submitted by the Other Party.
