Notice to Industry 19/2009 - Changes to the permit conditions for Bulk (PC0935) and Containerised Fertiliser (PC0934)

This notice advises industry of changes to the permit conditions for Bulk (PC0935) and Containerised Fertiliser (PC0934) to apply to all valid Import Permits with these conditions from the date of this notice.

There are Quarantine Approved Premises (QAPs) in fringe rural and rural areas that are approved by AQIS to handle fertiliser consignments. However, previous permit conditions did not allow for the goods to be moved to these QAPs, hence the need to amend the import permit conditions to allow this practice.

Import permit conditions for Bulk (PC0935) and Containerised Fertiliser (PC0934) have now been amended to allow the goods to be moved to a non-metropolitan Quarantine Approved Premises (QAPs) for inspection, subject to approval from the AQIS office in that region. Land-bridging between Ports is not permitted.
