Notice to Industry 29/2009—Broker Accreditation Schemes (BAS)—Non-Commodity for Containerised Cargo Clearance (CCC) Scheme and Automatic Entry Processing (AEP) for Commodities Scheme Compliance Agreement renewals
The Schedules to the AQIS Broker Accreditation Scheme (BAS) and Automatic Entry Processing (AEP) for Commodities Scheme compliance agreements are due for renewal by 31 July 2009.
As advised in Notices to Industry 2/2009 and 13/2009 published on the AQIS website, AQIS has reviewed and combined the three non-commodity Broker Accreditation Schemes:
- Containerised Cargo Clearance (CCC) for Full Container Load (FCL/X)
- Automatic Entry Processing (AEP) for Full Container Load (FCL), and
- Less than Container Load (LCL) Packing Scheme.
The Schedules to these Schemes will cease to operate on 31 July 2009 and will be replaced by the Schedule to the Non-Commodity for Containerised Cargo Clearance Scheme.
Parties that wish to continue to operate under these agreements must renew the relevant Schedules before 31 July 2009. Failure to renew the Schedules by the due date will result in suspension and subsequent cancellation of the compliance agreement.
AQIS sent compliance agreement renewal packages by post to all affected parties on 22 May 2009.
The renewal packages contain copies of the Schedules, a registration form and a renewal checklist to assist with the successful completion of the renewal process.
The completed forms must be returned to AQIS no later than 17 July 2009 to allow sufficient time for processing by AQIS.
