Notice to Industry 39/2009—Broker Accreditation Schemes (BAS)—Non-Commodity for Containerised Cargo Clearance (CCC) Scheme and Automatic Entry Processing (AEP) for Commodities Scheme Renewal—Reminder

As advised in Notice to Industry 29/2009, the Schedules to the AQIS Broker Accreditation Scheme (BAS) and Automatic Entry Processing (AEP) for Commodities Scheme compliance agreements are due for renewal by 31 July 2009.

Renewal of the Compliance Agreement Schedules

AQIS sent renewal packages by post to affected parties on 22 May 2009. These renewal packages included copies of the Schedules, a registration form, instructions and a checklist to assist with the successful completion of the renewal process.

The completed documentation must be returned to AQIS no later than 17 July 2009 to allow sufficient time for processing by AQIS.

If you need to renew your Compliance Agreement Schedules, but did not receive a renewal package please contact the Industry Partnerships Unit.

Voluntary Cancellation of Compliance Agreements

If you received a compliance agreement renewal package and you do not want to renew your agreement, you must advise AQIS in writing, on company letterhead that you want to cancel your agreement.

Failure to Renew the Compliance Agreement

Failure to renew the Schedules by the due date will result in suspension and subsequent cancellation of your compliance agreement. If your agreement is suspended your company will no longer be able to perform documentation assessment and electronic processing of import declarations for the above Schemes. All documentation will be referred to AQIS for assessment and clearance.
