Consignments accompanied by a valid pre–shipment treatment certificate will be released upon arrival to Australia, providing all other entry conditions relevant to the consignment are met (including those associated with the container and packaging). An exception to this may be when inspection is required for other commodities in the consignment or when a consignment is subject to a random inspection.
If an incident (e.g. soil contamination, live insects etc.) is detected in a consignment that has been treated by an offshore ETO treatment provider, it should be reported to the AQIS regional failed fumigation coordinator.
