Offshore inspections of used machinery and equipment

An offshore inspection is not a pre–clearance of quarantine, but is designed to significantly minimise the quarantine clearance requirements on arrival into Australia. The machinery and equipment will still be subject to quarantine on arrival and a verification inspection will be conducted to ensure the goods arrive in a condition free from quarantine risk material. AQIS reserves the right to perform on–arrival inspections and any further inspections or treatments.
