Importing Tyres

Importers are responsible for ensuring that tyres are imported free from quarantine risk material (QRM). If contamination is found by AQIS, remedial cleaning will be required. AQIS may direct the tyres to be exported from Australia if it determines the quarantine risk is too great to allow cleaning in Australia.

This requirement applies to all imported new and used tyres, whether fitted to machinery or loose.
