Final Policy Released
- The final policy for the importation of dogs and cats and their semen from approved countries has been released.
New import conditions when applying for an import permit for your dog or cat come into effect from 2 December 2013. Approved animals can start to arrive in Australia after 3 February 2014. Under the new conditions the minimum post-arrival quarantine stay will be reduced from 30 days to 10 days. To learn more about the change visit the frequently asked questions page.

If you are importing from New Zealand you do not require an import permit however conditions apply.
