Fisheries Statistics Working Group
The Fisheries Statistics Working Group (FSWG) is a forum for fisheries data managers from State, Territory and Commonwealth agencies to communicate and cooperate regarding common issues relating to the collection, management and dissemination of fisheries statistics.
The FSWG works with member agencies to coordinate or contribute to projects such as the Australian Fisheries Statistics report and the National Fisheries Production Database (in progress).
FSWG reports directly to the Research Committee of the Australian Fisheries Management Forum (AFMF). The Chairperson and Secretariat are currently provided by the Bureau of Rural Sciences. Representatives of the following agencies participate in the FSWG:
