Winners 2007
Since the Science and Innovation Awards began in 2001, they have directly supported the careers and innovative ideas of one hundred and seventeen young people throughout Australia.
The future competitiveness of Australian agriculture depends on the ability of our rural industries to adapt and innovate. The Awards encourage young scientists and innovators to generate the ideas that keep Australia at the forefront of scientific and technological excellence.
The former Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, the Minister for Fisheries, Forestry and Conservation, and the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry presented the winners of the 2007 Science and Innovation Awards for Young People in Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry at a function at Parliament House on Tuesday 18 September 2007.
