The Network of Aquaculture Centres in Asia-Pacific (NACA) is a regional aquaculture research and development network.
National Aquaculture Council
The National Aquaculture Council (NAC) was established by the aquaculture industry with assistance from the Australian Government in 2003. The NAC is the peak industry body representing the Australian aquaculture industry. The NAC represents industry in an advocacy and representative role. The Government works closely with NAC to foster the sustainable development of the aquaculture industry, focussing on priority areas such as marketing and promotion, trade and market access, biosecurity and food health standards.
Fisheries Research and Development Corporation
The Fisheries Research and Development Corporation (FRDC) is a co-funded partnership between its two stakeholders: the Australian Government and industry. The FRDC’s mission is to maximise economic, environmental and social benefits for its stakeholders through effective investment and partnership in research, development and extension.
Seafood Services Australia
The goal of Seafood Services Australia (SSA) is to enhance the profitability, international competitiveness, sustainability and resilience of the Australian seafood industry. SSA was established in 2001 by the Fisheries Research and Development Corporation and the Australian seafood industry.
