Remuneration for members of the Recreational Fishing Advisory Committee
The Remuneration Tribunal sets the daily sitting fees for specified and non-specified public offices. Membership of RFAC is a non-specified office. Under Remuneration Tribunal Determination 2008/07 “Remuneration and Allowances for Holders of Part-Time Public Office”, the minister can determine the level of fees paid to members of a committee.
In relation to RFAC, the Hon. Minister Burke MP, Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry has determined that the fee paid to members of RFAC shall be $366 per day.
Costs of travel, accommodation, meals and incidental costs associated with attending meetings will also be met. Such costs will be met at the Tier 2 Rate as set out in the 'Official Travel by Office Holders' section of Remuneration Tribunal Determination 2004/03
