What is a podcast?
A podcast is an audio file available via the Internet that you can download and listen to at any time on your computer or portable player.
Whenever we upload a new program, your podcast software can automatically retrieve the new items for you. This is called 'subscribing' to a podcast.
The name podcast comes from Apple's iPod, however you don't need an iPod to listen to podcasts.
You can subscribe to our podcast using software available for free on the Internet.
Where do I get podcast software from?
There are many different versions of podcast software that allow you to view and subscribe to a podcast feed:
- Recent versions of web browsers (Firefox 2/3 and Internet Explorer 7)
- iTunes and Juice are popular free programs
- Online readers (such as Google Reader and Bloglines) which don't require additional software (other than your browser !)
