Project proponents should note that the LTAWP Project Advisory Committee Secretariat will undertake a minimum form and content requirement check of each project proposal using the checklist on the following page. Project proposals that meet minimum form and content requirements will be referred to the LTAWP Project Advisory Committee for evaluation.

The Secretariat will seek further information from the proponent for project proposals that do not meet the minimum form and content requirements and/or return the proposal to the proponent to address the deficiency.

Please note: if the proponent does not address the deficiency within 14 days of being requested to do so, the application will not be considered further.

If at a later date the proponent is able to address the deficiency and the proposal meets the Minimum Form and Content Requirements, the proponent may re-submit the proposal.

LTAWP Program Guidelines – Section 3: What qualifies for funding?

- Consultant costs are either: limited to a maximum of A$1000 per day per consultant; or if not, the applicant has provided a justification.
- The proposed activities align with those in the Guidelines
- Are the project commencement and completion dates provided and expected completion date prior to 30 June 2012?

LTAWP Program Guidelines – Section 4: How do I apply?

The project proposal, including any attachments and supporting documentation:

- is written in English using the LTAWP Project Application Form
- was submitted electronically in Microsoft Word format

The project proposal contains:

- written evidence of support from at least one of the following peak bodies representing Australia’s livestock producers and exporters:

  • Cattle Council of Australia
  • Sheepmeat Council of Australia
  • Australian Livestock Exporters Council
  • Meat and Livestock Australia
  • Australian Livestock Export Corporation.
- project milestones and the date by which these milestones are expected to be achieved
- indicators to measure the success of a project
- an itemised budget proposal
- budget figures are consistent and added correctly

Conditions for Funding – Section 4: What are the conditions?

- The applicant has read and understood the conditions for funding outlined in Section 4 of the Program Guidelines; and signed the Applicants/s Declaration & Authority.
