Minerals Assessment
The collection of information and report preparation on the mineral resources and the mineral potential of the Gippsland region were undertaken cooperatively between officers of the Australian Geological Survey Organisation and Minerals and Petroleum Victoria. An economic assessment of mineral resources was prepared by the Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics and Minerals and Petroleum Victoria.
The aim of the regional assessment of minerals potential is to draw together new and existing information to aid the consideration of economic effects of forest use options to be considered in the development of the Regional Forest Agreement (RFA).
