Southern & Eastern Scalefish and Shark Fishery
In June 2007, the Australian Fisheries Management Authority (AFMA) granted provisional allocations of Statutory Fishing Rights for Shark species & Elephant fish in the Southern & Eastern Scalefish and Shark Fishery under the Southern & Eastern Scalefish and Shark Fishery Management Plan 2003. A total of 4 concession-holders applied to the Statutory Fishing Rights Allocation Review Panel for a review of AFMA’s provisional allocation decision. Subsequently 3 concession holders withdrew their application, leaving just 1 applicant, Trevor Ray Gilmore.
